ABOUT
Adahue (add a hue) comes from a simple idea: less blank walls, more colour. Colour has always been central to how I see and move through the world. I’m drawn to it, I wear it, I build with it and I think people should take more risks with it!
I love making, taking risks and seeing where the process leads me. I studied Painting and Printmaking at The Glasgow School of Art and did a Masters in Textiles at The Royal College of Art. Here I solidified my belief that the process of making is more important than the outcome. When the process comes first, mistakes become direction and the unexpected is always more interesting. My current body of work is built from a process of painting, cutting, scanning, layering and repeating, reassembling colour to form something new.
I want my work to bring energy into everyday environments. Where people can get the same joy from my work that I do in the process of making each piece.
If you’re looking to bring colour into a specific space, I’m always open to new ideas and a challange.
